Style is a reflection of who we are, where we come from, and what we have experienced—the good, the bad, and the indifferent. It is what makes us into the unique beings that we are.
Star fashion designer Rebecca Moses has devoted herself to crafting chic garments for stylish women world-wide. Underpinning her years of innovative design has been a series of questions: What is style? How does it evolve? And what can we do to develop our own style? A Life of Style provides the answers. Consisting entirely of Moses’s inventive watercolors, which incorporate witty words of wisdom distilled from personal experience, A Life of Style encourages readers to draw upon and develop their innate style—traditional or modern, conservative or radical—and especially to cultivate the confidence to express themselves.
Rebecca Moses offers a style journey that is at once informative and imaginative. She persuades readers to listen to themselves and their instincts, to open their minds to new ways of thinking, and above all to search for inspiration. Once the style mind is engaged, she turns to fashion and beauty (“Don’t forget: We wear our clothes—they don’t wear us”), the home (“Creating a home is creating a world of your own”), and entertaining (“The best gift of all is the gift of relaxation and great pleasure”). Above all, says Moses, style is personal communication at its most profound, most ingenious, most original.
Style is not skin deep. It is soul deep. It is our most significant form of expression. It is how we communicate who we are to the world around us. It is our voice.

WOW! Rebecca Moses is Smart, Funny and Wise,
This is a warm, wonderful, insightful book on living life – not just a stylish life – that gives a smart, FUNNY, heartfelt perspective to what many of us perceive as the elusive: having real style. Rebecca Moses blew me away not only with her amazing illustrations but with her wit and down-to-earth approach to understanding that fashion and stylish living is more than a superficial exercise but a wonderful way to share yourself and your world with others. I never expected to stumble upon such an uplifting, empowering, and positive manifest amidst her quirky and clever drawings. I wanted to jump into her colorful world and hang out with her funny, stylish characters who embrace themselves and their imperfections with confidence; who eat pasta at midnight and entertain their friends at home with passion; who go to black ties with the same clothes they ski in; who adore King Louis and know their “signature doesn’t always need to be written in ink.” I LOVED her illustrated recap of her life at the beginning of the book. Who knew that such stylish thinking would have been seeded in NJ? There is wisdom and a philosophy in these pages that you would not expect to find in a “fashion” book. The premise of the book is her insight to the perennial struggle of mastering a stylish life that many of us face, but my take away is she is really encouraging us to live the life we want in living color. BRAVO! I am buying this for all my friends who appreciate stylish living and especially for those who don’t.

|A Life of Style, is a Life worth living!,
A Life of Style is an original, inventive, humorous and courageous book. Not only is the drawing masterful, the message is too.
Rebecca Moses channels her own love of fashion and art into an original but accessible vision. She has put a lifetime
of her love of fashion and style into every page. My favorite page?-even though its so hard to choose- “Never judge a style by
its cover”. The drawing is so wonderful with those bracelets and earrings glittering and the two views of life residing in the
glasses. Plus the sentiment is perfect. I would give it as a gift to anyone who appreciates wonderful drawing and dressing up.

|Simply AMAZING.,
I am not someone who writes book reviews, and I have read enough “guide to style” type books to not bat an eyelash every time a style advice themed book comes out… But whoa. Let me just say that reading this book is like going through a glorious labyrinth where every nook and cranny NEEDS to be explored and delightfully digested. The writing is profound, hilarious, and dripping with a coquettish-yet-edgy wit of a kind you can’t quite put your finger on. The sheer beauty of the illustrations, the shockingly fresh color combinations that jump out at you from every corner of every page…
For anyone who has ever thought that paying attention to personal style and aesthetic expression is a frivolous pursuit, Rebecca Moses WILL convince you otherwise…
This book is a feast for the eyes and soul. Seriously. It takes several minutes to dwell on each illustration, each page, and there are so many surprises along the way… an amazing buy.
