Question by M.Y.S.T.R.Y.: Question for Pakistani women?
As-Salaamu’ Alaikum.
I have a question here for you Pakistani girls, how do you think about Pakistani fashion these days? Don’t you think that the traditonal Pakistani shalwaar kameez become ”to modern”? what i mean to say it reveals to much skin. However Pakistan is a Muslim country. Or do you think it is fashion and do you wear these kind of shalwaar kameez?

I agree with you… i also live in a western country born here but still i’m like desi clothes have to stay desi you know even the shalwaar is shorter now lool what the hell lol…
Even the sarees are ruiened because people want to be ”modern”

To be honest, yes, we do see these revealing shalwaar kameezs on models, celebrities and on brides (which is very rare). But in real life, all these modern ones aren’t even worn! It’s not only because of religion but also because of the modest Desi culture.

As I live in the western world, I don’t think it’s actually all that revealing…we’ll see a bit of arms and shoulders…maybe a bit of chest but that’s really it.
